Privacy Policy
Effective 27 August 2026. This explains what happens to information you give us on a call or leave behind by visiting this site, in the plainest language we can manage.
(562) 249-2037, answered 24 hours a dayWho this covers
This policy covers Lakewood Plumbing Direct, the referral service operating this website, and applies to the website and to calls placed to the number shown on it. It does not cover the independent plumbing professionals you may be connected with. Once a pro is handling your job, their own privacy practices apply to whatever you share with them directly.
What we collect
Information you give us on a call. Typically your name, the phone number you are calling from or ask us to use, the service address or cross-street, and a description of the plumbing problem. If you are calling about someone else’s property, that may include the name and number of whoever will be on site.
Call records. Calls to the number on this site are routed through a call-handling service. That service records call metadata such as the number dialled, the number you called from, the time and the duration, and the page or source the number was shown on. Calls may also be recorded or monitored for quality and dispute-resolution purposes. Where recording applies you will be told at the start of the call, and you can ask not to be recorded.
Technical information from the website. Standard server and analytics data: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you viewed and roughly when. This arrives automatically and is not tied to your name unless you also call us.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card details, bank details, social security numbers or health information. Nothing on this site requests them. Payment for plumbing work is arranged directly between you and the pro who attends.
Cookies and similar technology
This site uses only what it needs to function and to count traffic. Where a cookie or similar identifier is used for analytics or to attribute a call to the page that produced it, it holds a technical identifier, not your name. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some usage counting will be inaccurate.
How the information is used
To understand your plumbing problem, to work out which independent pro is the right match for it, to pass that pro enough detail to attend, to follow up on a call that dropped, to resolve a dispute if one arises, and to see which pages actually produce useful calls.
Who it is shared with
The pro you are matched with. They receive what they need to do the job: your name, contact number, the address and the description of the problem.
Service providers. The call-handling and website providers that operate the phone routing, hosting and analytics on our behalf, limited to what those services require.
Where the law requires it. In response to a valid legal request, or where disclosure is necessary to protect someone’s safety or to establish or defend a legal claim.
What we do not do with it
We do not sell your personal information. We do not pass your number to a list of companies who then all call you. A call to the number on this site routes to a participating local plumbing professional; it is not distributed as a lead to multiple bidders.
Your California privacy rights
California residents have the right to know what personal information is held about them, to request a copy, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Exercising any of these rights will not affect the service you receive from us.
To exercise a right, call (562) 249-2037 and say which right you are exercising. We will confirm we are speaking to the right person, usually by matching the number or address on the original call, and respond within the timeframes California law allows. An authorised agent may act for you if you have given them written permission.
How long it is kept
Call records and job details are kept only as long as they are useful for the purposes above, or as long as a legal or accounting obligation requires. When neither applies any more, they are deleted or de-identified.
Security
Access to call records and enquiry details is limited to the people who need them to route and follow up on calls. No transmission over the internet or a phone network can be described as perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Children
This is a service for property owners and occupiers. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, call us and we will remove it.
Other websites
Where this site links out, for example to a city department or a utility, that organisation’s privacy policy governs what happens on their pages. We do not control them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than slipped in quietly.
Contacting us about privacy
