What this service is

Lakewood Plumbing Direct is a referral service. It connects people who need plumbing work in and around Lakewood, California with independent plumbing professionals who perform that work. We do not perform plumbing work ourselves, we do not employ the pros, and we are not a party to whatever you and a pro agree.

The pros are independent

Every plumbing professional reached through this service operates their own business. They set their own prices, keep their own schedules, use their own methods and materials, and are solely responsible for the work they perform, including its quality, timing, safety and compliance with applicable codes and permit requirements.

Nothing here creates a partnership, joint venture, employment or agency relationship between us and any pro. A pro cannot commit us to anything, and we cannot commit a pro to anything beyond making the introduction.

Your agreement is with the pro

Scope, price, timing, payment, warranties on the work and any dispute about the work are matters between you and the pro who attends. Settle the scope and the price with them before work starts, and keep whatever paperwork they give you. If you are dissatisfied, raise it with them first; if you cannot reach them, tell us, because it informs who keeps receiving our calls.

Information on this site is general

The service and neighbourhood pages describe how these problems usually behave in local housing stock. They are background reading, not a diagnosis of your property and not instructions to work on your own plumbing or gas. Nothing on this site is professional advice about your specific situation.

In an emergency, act on the emergency rather than on a web page. If you smell gas, leave the building and call the gas utility from outside. If water is running where it should not be, shut off the main if you can reach it safely.

Calls to the number on this site

Calls are routed through a call-handling service and may be recorded or monitored for quality and dispute resolution, as described in the privacy policy. By calling, you agree that we and the pro we connect you with may contact you back on the number you used or gave us, about the enquiry you made. That is not a subscription to marketing, and you can tell us on the call not to contact you again.

We do not warrant the work performed by any independent pro. Any warranty on plumbing work comes from the pro who did it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or property damage, arising out of your use of this site or of any work performed by an independent pro. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to this site or the referral is limited to one hundred United States dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims and costs arising from your misuse of the site or the number, from information you gave us that was materially inaccurate, or from your breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you and we consent to that venue.
